Costume:
The costumes used in my magazine are clothes I think my target audience would also like to wear and represents how I'm trying to portray the artist. There are three looks I used in the magazine. For the front cover she wore an off shoulder black crop top. I used this because I wanted something plain so all the focus was on her and not her clothes. In the contents page the model is wearing the same black top as the front cover but is paired with a bright multicoloured coloured skirt. The skirt also has cartoon images on which I thought my target audience would think it quite 'cool'; also it adds colour to my contents page. On the DPS the model is wearing a white, textured dress with a royal blue collar. I thought this showed the more 'fashionable' side of her and would be something the target audience aspire to wear. Also by changing the outfit it makes the audience pay attention. For the photo-strip on the DPS the model is wearing a black tight skirt, black crop top, black tights, black Dr. Martens and a cream and blue checked shirt. This is a more laid back look which replicates the playful and fun poses. This look is also something which the target audience could easily buy which is anther reason why I used it.
Location:
I decided to take all the photos in a photo studio which studio lighting. I done this because I wanted to achieve a flawless and professional magazine look. The studio allowed me to experiment with Photoshop to give me the flawless look I wanted. I was also able to add text where I wanted as I had a plain background.
Props:
The only props I used was make-up and make-up brushes to create the look I wanted. Also on some pictures the model put the leather jacket on her shoulder- using it as a prop instead of a fashion accessory. I didn't use many props because I didn't want that to distract people from her.
